Biography
2003年春～夏にかけて、Akira Ishihara 名義でドイツ・UKのレーベルから立て続けにEPをリリースしファンキーでアッパー、そして緻密なミキシングによるDJユースフルなトラックの数々は国内外から注目を浴び、冬には初のDJツアーとしてベルリンの SO36 等のクラブに出演を果たす。これらの活動が契機となりテクノ発祥の地とも言えるドイツでも多くの支持を得る事に成功する。
その後も多くのレーベルからリリース・リミックスをこなし、2004年の初夏には再びドイツ、そしてオーストリアにてDJツアーを行い、ドイツでの名門クラブの一つである Tresor にも出演した。帰国後は Maniac Love でのレジデンツDJを初め、国内各地そして香港にも招聘され、同年末には Ken Ishii, DJ YAMA オーガナイズの Reel Up at Womb に出演。
2005年以降も Akira Ishihara 名義でリリースを重ねるが、平行してよりミニマルでディープなサウンドを追及したプロジェクト A-Inc としてのサウンド製作もスタートし、2006年に Hitoshi Ohishi 主宰 Modern Tools より1stEPをリリースした。
2007年はオーストリア、台湾でのDJを経験し、スウェーデンより Joel Mull 来日時のラウンジセットでのDJをはじめ、Jeff Samuel 来日時には A-Inc 初のライブセットを披露してこの名義での活動を本格化させた。10月には Jay Haze によるレーベル Junion より A-Inc として最初のアナログカットとなる Commodore Dub EP をリリース。オーナーである Jay Haze のみならず、Ricardo Villalobos もプレイしたこのEPをきっかけに多くのレーベルからオファーを受け、2008年2月にはドイツの Kaufe Musik のコンピレーションEP、3月には Immigrant Records よりリリースの Ryoh Mitomi “Ballet EP” にもリミックスを提供した。
5月にはジャーマンテクノの重鎮、Thomas P Heckmann によるレーベル Afulab より Disorderly Forest EP をリリース。個性的でテクニカルなサウンドパーツから展開される強力なグルーヴは Richie Hawtin, Len Faki, Monika Kruze を初めとする多くの著名DJらにもプレイされ世界中のクラウドを魅了している。
これ以降も、ドイツ、イタリア、イギリスのレーベルからのリミックス、コンピレーション、そしてソロEPが控えている。デジタル配信限定レーベルが増える中、これらのリリース多くがヴァイナルカットを予定されていることからも、その楽曲がトップレベルのクオリティであることが伺える。

Coming up through the Japan underground scene, at the age of 18 Akira Ishihara started DJ’ing and producing his own Techno tracks. It wasn`t long before his skills were noticed, and soon after was releasing 12 inches on Techno labels such as “kiddaz.fm”, “kazumi”, and “SUBmissions”.
From 2003-2004, he went on tour in Germany, and played at such places as “Electric Ballroom” at SO36 and at the legendary Tresor club. He has since played in countries around the world, including Austria, Hong-Kong, Taiwan and China.
Having released many hard-techno tracks, he has become known for his heavy use of voice sampling along with a pumpin` beat. His songs have been championed by DJ`s in clubs around the world.
“A-Inc” is his second project. He makes the sound of deep and minimal under this name. End of summer 2007, He got release offer from Jay Haze who is running “Contexterrior”. First EP “Commodore Dub EP” was released by “Junion” October soon. This EP is supported by Ricardo Villalobos, Jay Haze and many DJs. It’s good effect to get more release & remix offer. Some EP which include his remix was released. “Remix EP” by Kaufe Musik, “Ballet EP (Ryoh Mitomi’s solo)” by Immigrant.
After that, 2nd EP “Disorderly Forest EP” was released by “Afulab” (Thomas P Heckmann’s label). The strong groove developed from a unique and technical sound parts is played by a lot of famous DJ including Len Faki, Monika Kruze, and Richie Hawtin and enchants many club people all over the world.
The remix or compilation release from Germany, Italy, UK label is scheduled in the future. Of course, solo EP, too.
